The Aaronic Priesthood Monument and Joseph and Emma's Home Site

A short distance from the Isaac Hale farm is a 13 acre piece of property that Joseph and Emma purchased from her father Isaac Hale. They moved a house onto the property. It was in this home most of the Book of Mormon was translated from the Gold Plates. Joseph and Emma lived in this home only a short time. The property is now the location of the Aaronic Priesthood Restoration Monument and the McKune Cemetary where the Hales and Joseph and Emma's first son (Alvin)are buried. These are pictures of the monument, the foundation of the home and of the grave site.
